Melcher joins 2024 Emerging Leaders

Susan Melcher, P.E. will represent Hennessey Engineers in the 2024 American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)/Michigan Emerging Leaders Program. The program, which began this fall, is for individuals committed to developing their leadership abilities and imparts specific skills and competencies identified by top ACEC/Michigan principals as critical for leadership success. Highly interactive sessions are taught by experts in the field of business administration and people management in professional services firms.

“The first two days of the 2024 Emerging Leaders Program were held last week, and every session was great thanks to both the participants as well as the speakers,” said Susan.  “Getting to know this group of impressive individuals was my favorite part so far, and I’m looking forward to both learning from, and further connecting with, these people in the upcoming months.”

Susan is a new member of the Hennessey team. In 2023, Access Engineering merged with Hennessey Engineers which added transportation engineering expertise to its list of services. Susan’s previous 24 years of work experience includes working at the Michigan Department of Transportation (6 years) and Access Engineering (24 years). She specializes in traffic engineering, roadway design, project management, and CADD design. She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
