Manthei to lead Survey Group
Hennessey Engineers welcomed Michael Manthei, P.S., as its new Survey Group Manager this week. Michael will lead and manage the survey department on a wide range of public and private infrastructure improvement projects. He brings more than 25 years of knowledge and experience to the team having previously worked for state and nationally renowned firms.
Michael’s work experience includes MDOT highway projects, work at the Detroit Grand Prix Race Course, Gordie Howe International Bridge, Condominium Exhibit “B” drawings, ALTA’s, Boundary Surveys, Easements, and FEMA Flood certificates. Michael also has worked closely with the Counties of Wayne and Monroe on the Michigan Remonumentation Program.
“The surveying profession allows me to combine exploring, helping people, examining historical documents, and solving puzzles,” said Michael. “The variety of projects keeps things interesting and challenging.”
Michael has two Bachelors of Science degrees from Michigan Technological University – Forestry and Surveying. He currently serves as President of the Southeast Chapter of Michigan Society of Professional Surveyors. He is also a member of the Monroe County Remonumentation Peer Group. When it’s time to relax, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors and looking for new adventures.
