Congratulations, James!
Congratulations to James Owczarak for recently passing the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam. James graduated from Western Michigan University in December 2022 and joined Hennessey Engineers in 2023 after participating in the summer internship program at our firm. James received hands-on experience in construction observation, with preliminary site designs including pavement, utility, drainage design and more. He participated in site inspections and material testing throughout his internship.
The Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is the first step in the process to becoming a professional licensed engineer (P.E.). It is designed for recent graduates and students who are close to finishing an undergraduate engineering degree from an EAC/ABET-accredited program. It is a computer-based test with 110 questions and generally takes six hours to complete. One must have knowledge in:
