2023 CSE sparks students’ curiosity
More than 70o Detroit students participated in the annual Construction Science Expo on May 9, 2023, held at Durfee Innovation Center in Detroit, MI, during which middle and high school students who have signed a drug-free pledge are invited to spend a day being exposed to careers in the engineering and construction fields through a variety of speakers and hands-on experiences.
Charles Smith, construction manager, and Chuck Smith, construction inspector, represented the Hennessey Engineers team at the event. They provided hands-on learning experiences in construction engineering. Students learned about aggregate testing, tools of the trade, and the design work necessary prior to construction.
Their work reaffirmed our motto, “Community foundations built with optimism” because at Hennessey Engineers, we actively support the communities we serve and we do it with a smile.
